What Alexa+ could do with real-time intelligence: 5 use cases.

Amazon's Alexa+ MCP Toolkit lets developers bring MCP servers to Alexa as add-ons. Here is what AgentStructure apps would sound like there: the day's feast, overnight filings and contract deadlines, said out loud.

  • Muse.ai
  • Instinct
  • Grok
  • Claude
  • ChatGPT
  • Any MCP-capable assistant
An example. The app noticed first, and the assistant brought it to you.

Key takeaways

The short version.

  • Alexa+ is Amazon's generative-AI Alexa, on Echo devices, the Alexa app and Alexa.com. It is free with Prime in the US and $19.99 a month otherwise.
  • Amazon's Alexa+ MCP Toolkit lets a developer connect an existing MCP server to Alexa+ as an add-on, with Alexa+ acting as the MCP client.
  • Unlike Claude or ChatGPT, users do not paste in a connector address. A developer packages the server as an add-on, keeps responses under 500 ms and goes through Amazon's certification.
  • Voice changes the job: the best signal for Alexa+ is short enough to say out loud. A morning briefing, a deadline, a feast day.
  • Best fits: Catholic Reminders and SEC Stock Signals for spoken morning briefings. No AgentStructure Alexa+ add-on is published yet.

About Alexa+

What is Alexa+, as an agent platform?

Alexa+ is the generative-AI version of Alexa. Amazon describes it as “more conversational, smarter, personalized, and gets things done.” In early 2026 it rolled out to everyone in the US: free for Prime members, $19.99 a month for others, with limited free chat on Alexa.com and in the Alexa app. It runs on Echo speakers and Echo Show screens, in the app and on the web.

For developers, Amazon offers category SDKs for things like restaurant reservations and ride booking, and the Alexa+ MCP Toolkit for everything else. With it, a developer can “connect your MCP server to Alexa+” as an add-on, over streamable HTTP, and reuse a server built for other AI assistants. Alexa+ also supports MCP Apps for visual experiences on Echo Show.

Why it matters

Why does Alexa+ need real-time intelligence?

Alexa already gives the weather, the news and sports scores. It does not know that a company you follow filed an 8-K overnight, that a SAM.gov notice in your NAICS code is due Friday, or which saint the Church remembers today and what the readings are.

AgentStructure is the real-time intelligence layer personal AIs plug into. Each app watches one specialized source and explains the change in a sentence or two, which is the length a voice assistant can actually say. Because the apps already speak MCP, the same servers could become Alexa+ add-ons.

Use cases

5 ways Alexa+ could use AgentStructure apps.

1. Catholic Reminders

The day's feast and readings, while the coffee brews.

Catholic Reminders brings the feast, the saint, the readings and a short prayer each morning, and helps you keep commitments like a novena.

This is the most natural voice use case in the series. “Alexa, what’s today in the Church?” gets the feast and a short prayer read aloud, with the full readings on an Echo Show screen.

2. SEC Stock Signals

Overnight filings, in thirty seconds.

SEC Stock Signals watches public filings for the companies on your watchlist and explains what each one could mean, in plain English, with a link to the original.

A spoken morning briefing can say which companies filed overnight and what changed, and the link to the full filing can go to the Alexa app. It explains; it does not tell you to buy or sell.

Example conversation.

3. GovContracts.Money

A deadline you hear about, not one you miss.

GovContracts.Money watches federal opportunities on SAM.gov for the work you do, by NAICS code and keyword, and sends the good ones with the deadline and the official link.

For a small contractor who starts the day in the kitchen or the truck, Alexa+ can say what matched and set a reminder before the deadline. The bid itself still happens on SAM.gov.

4. PoliticalPredictions.APP

What moved, said plainly.

PoliticalPredictions.APP watches public political posts around the clock and tells you which prediction markets you follow could move, with timestamps.

By voice, the signal has to be short: the post, the market and the time. The sources can follow on screen or in the app. It reports; it does not place positions.

5. RoleRank

New roles on the Echo Show, ranked.

RoleRank compares new openings on official company job boards with your résumé as they are posted, and ranks the ones that fit.

Alexa+ supports MCP Apps on screen-based devices, so an Echo Show could list the top new roles while Alexa reads the first one. Applying still happens on the company’s own site.

How to

How would an Alexa+ user get an AgentStructure app?

  1. 1Today, use the apps through an assistant that accepts an MCP address directly, from each app's connect page on agentstructure.ai.
  2. 2On Alexa+, an app would arrive as an add-on built with the Alexa+ MCP Toolkit and certified by Amazon. Alexa+ routes requests meant for it automatically.
  3. 3Then ask for it by voice, for example “Alexa, what's today in the Church?”

AgentStructure apps already run as MCP servers, which the Alexa+ MCP Toolkit is designed to reuse. No AgentStructure Alexa+ add-on is published, and AgentStructure has no partnership with Amazon. The apps are free during the beta.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is Alexa+?

Alexa+ is Amazon's generative-AI version of Alexa, on Echo devices, the Alexa app and Alexa.com. In early 2026 it became available to everyone in the US, free for Prime members and $19.99 a month for others, with limited free chat on Alexa.com and in the app.

Does Alexa+ support MCP?

Yes, for developers. Amazon's Alexa+ MCP Toolkit lets a developer connect an MCP server to Alexa+ as an add-on, with Alexa+ acting as the MCP client over streamable HTTP. The toolkit is US-only, requires round-trip responses under 500 milliseconds, supports MCP Apps on screen devices, and add-ons go through Amazon's certification.

Can I add an AgentStructure app to Alexa+ myself?

Not today. Alexa+ users don't paste in a connector address; apps arrive as certified add-ons. No AgentStructure Alexa+ add-on is published, and AgentStructure has no partnership with Amazon. You can use the apps now through assistants that accept an MCP address, from each app's connect page.

Which AgentStructure app fits Alexa+ best?

Catholic Reminders and SEC Stock Signals, because both produce a short morning briefing that works well spoken aloud. GovContracts.Money fits deadline reminders.

Will Alexa+ act on these signals for me?

In these examples Alexa+ only speaks, shows and sets reminders. AgentStructure signals are information only, not investment, betting or legal advice.
